Sun 23rd - Starting the Tasks

So as we officially begin Orientation week I would encourage you to allocate some time to completing Tuesdays and Wednesdays tasks. I have added some instructions below to help you get started - remember you will get into the mood by starting -slowly read the instructions, ask questions if unsure and get stuck in.

Instructions for the first two tasks
Go to cdmonline.pbworks.com and click on orientation week on the left-hand side. You will see Week 1 at the top, these are the tasks for week 1. So let's look at the first one, Click on Design your own course, the first two sections provides important information regarding the operation of the course and the grading. Part three then asks to click on the link Designing Your Schedule. Just fill in the form showing how you plan to allocate your time to this course over the week.

When finished open Moodle, find the quiz labeled Week 01 Design your Course and read the declaration if you have completed it click true for the quiz, that is that task completed.

Right on to Task 2 Create Your Blog.
On this page, you will find some introductory text explaining what a blog is then you will see the section called Part 1 Create your Google account – continue to follow the rest of the instructions on the page for creating your own blog. When you have completed that read the declaration(Section in blue) to confirm you finished then again go to Moodle find the Quiz labeled Week 01 Create your own Blog read the declaration if you have completed it click true for the quiz, that is that task completed.


All of the tasks follow that same format, Complete the task (usually includes a writing element for your blog) and then go to Moodle to take the quiz(confirm that you have adhered to the declaration) Once you have completed a couple hopefully it will become clearer.

If your looking to avail of the 12 hours grace period you will need to open the quiz don't make a selection and close the quiz - that will activate the quiz

I will be available to answer questions and provide direction during all lab and lecture slots this week, I strongly suggest taking advantage of that during the first couple of weeks!

Mon 22nd Oct Feedback and Honesty

At this stage, anyone who has completed the Week 04 Project task on a vision document will have received feedback(as long as you sent me an email as per the instructions). I hope it makes sense, I really enjoyed reading everyone's pieces and it is clear to me that your trying very hard which is great!
